Own technology off
last generation
Our company focuses on providing innovative products and services for the oil and gas upstream industry. Soon after its foundation, PSS installed the first production line of continuous thermal coating for pipelines in Argentina. The production line uses our own technology, which makes it the most advanced production line in Latin America.
Specialized
Experience
Months after its creation, PSS introduced PSS Thermal System, an innovative solution to the problem of fluid temperatures linked to paraffin crystals buildup and CO2 control. This development provided great advantages for the development of the shale industry in the region. Our industrial plant in Nueva Galia, San Luis province, has been approved by YTEC (YPFs certification body) and an ISO 9001-certificated plant. Since 2014, PSS has installed thermal coatings for YPF, PAE, Chevron, Tenaris, Tubhier, Petroplastic, among other clients. Thermal coating for steel or GRE pipes are increasingly used by oil companies operating in the region.
PSS Continuous Thermal System
in keeping with EN 253 standard.
PSS Thermal System is a production system of thermal coating with polyurethane foam,
and an external polythene protection, which has continuous
good homogeneity and also provides the following advantages:
-
Removal and/or reduction of buildup and precipitation.
-
Removal and/or elimination of pipeline clogging due to low temperatures.
-
Complete removal of hydrates in gas pipelines.
-
Reduction of wellhead backpressure in the well-to-battery lines, thus preventing an increase in viscosity.
-
Possibility to combine with other technologies, such as heat tape, internal coating, etc.
-
Removal of chemical products needed to reduce viscosity, such as solvents, etc.
-
Elimination of need for hot oiling / hot watering.
PSS Continuous Thermal System
in keeping with EN 253 standard.
PSS Thermal System is a production system of thermal coating with polyurethane foam,
and an external polythene protection, which has continuous
good homogeneity and also provides the following advantages:
-
Homogeneous density, both longitudinally and radially.
-
Higher-quality polyurethane foam vis-a-vis other systems.
-
Higher insulation capability due to uniformity and size of polyurethane foam cells.
-
Possibility of coating double joint pipes.
-
High productivity to meet short lead times.
-
Reduction of materials waste.
-
100% visual control of thermal coating, which eliminates the possibility of entrapped air and large bubbles.
-
Foam system free of water based contaminants.
-
One-step production without the need for producing the polyethylene pipes first.
-
Greater adherence between foam and external polyethylene protection.
